The construction of Rijeka Gateway, one of the most ambitious container terminal developments in the Adriatic region, involved hundreds of contractors, subcontractors, engineers and employees working simultaneously across an evolving construction site. Ensuring that every individual received the appropriate safety training before accessing the project became a critical requirement for maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

Initially, safety inductions were managed through traditional face-to-face sessions and manual record keeping, creating administrative overhead and making it increasingly difficult to coordinate large numbers of personnel arriving from different companies and disciplines.

Recognising the need for a more scalable approach, Rijeka Gateway implemented the Stowlog Safety Induction module. The platform allows every contractor and employee to complete their mandatory safety training digitally before arriving on site, ensuring they understand the project's safety rules, emergency procedures and operational requirements. All training records are automatically stored within the Admin Dashboard, providing HSSE teams with complete visibility of induction status, validity periods and compliance levels.
