Florida International Terminal
Digitalizing Driver Safety and Operations for Enhanced Terminal Efficiency

Client: Florida International Terminal (Fort Lauderdale, USA)
Challenge: In-person safety inductions, lack of understanding of the traffic flow plan, and manual management of driver sanctions
Solution: Safety Induction module, Interactive 3D Map, and Suspensions module
Florida International Terminal (FIT), a key logistics hub in Fort Lauderdale, faced several operational challenges related to safety and driver coordination. Safety inductions were carried out in person, requiring significant time and administrative effort. Truck drivers often struggled to understand the facility’s traffic flow plan, creating confusion and unnecessary risk within the terminal. In addition, the terminal managed driver sanctions manually, making the process slow, inconsistent, and difficult to track.
To address these issues, FIT implemented a combination of Stowlog modules that worked together to digitalize and streamline its HSSE operations. Through the Safety Induction module, all external drivers can now complete their inductions digitally before arriving at the terminal, ensuring they understand the rules and requirements in advance. The Interactive 3D Map provides an intuitive and dynamic visualization of the terminal, allowing truck drivers to clearly identify traffic routes, restricted areas, and key points of interest. Meanwhile, the Suspensions module digitalizes the full sanction workflow, making it easier for FIT to apply, track, and manage disciplinary actions with clear traceability.
Together, these tools have transformed the safety and compliance operations at FIT, providing an end-to-end digital solution tailored to the realities of a high-traffic logistics environment.
